"Phone sessions with Betty are the greatest thing. With a couple sessions a month, I feel so much calmer and happier and able to handle whatever arises. My depression has lifted and mood swings are gone. It's wonderful."

"I find Betty to be a very skilled EFT therapist. She has a very warm, gentle, accepting and supportive approach to her work. I have paid her my highest compliment: I sent my mother to work with her, who likes her very much."

EFT For Seasickness

"The underlying fear - correction -
the underlying terror!"

Greetings, Everyone,

Tina Cooper of Suffolk, England had some wonderful results using EFT for herself on the sea sickness issue. I think the way she did the tapping when she was in the situation so that she could be the most 'tuned in' is particularly interesting.

I want to thank all of you who have written up EFT stories. For the first time, I have a backlog of things to share! I'll be sending them out day by day. Also, it seems to be working well for people to backchannel to the author of the sharing if you want to connect for discussion or further commentary.

I'm really enjoying our group!

Love, Betty

Hi Betty

In response to Loren's request for information from practitioners who have used EFT to treat sea sickness, I have some experience, albeit on myself.

I suffer from all forms of travel sickness, but the sea sickness was especially debilitating. My family and I were off to France during the holidays, and although the crossing from Dover in the UK to Calais is short, it was still enough to fill me with dread.

I made the decision to wait until aboard before starting tapping, as I wanted to be as tuned in as possible. I started with physical symptoms, "Even though I feel sick...want to throw up...uneasy...out of balance...dizzy, I deeply and completely love and accept myself", all the time actually tuning in and feeling those sensations.

I had previously found that I stiffen, and so my body doesn't move naturally with the movement of the boat, exaggerating any roll and making the sickness worse, so I tapped for "Even though I don't like the movement of the boat, I deeply and completely love and accept myself and choose to feel relaxed...go with the flow."

This all took care of all the bodily sensations, and so afforded me the opportunity to deal with the underlying fear. Correction - the underlying terror! Each time I thought about being on a boat, all that filled my mind was the sensation of cold, cold water rushing up my nose, down my throat, and being unable to breath to the point where my lungs felt they were going to burst. So I used this imagery, and tapped without the set up statement - I was so 'there', I couldn't have been more tuned in if I tried! And I was so panic struck I couldn't have found the necessary words even if I had needed to.

It took several rounds, but by the time I had finished all that was left was a need to tap for feeling foolish, as I realised the passengers seated around me were giving me very strange looks and my husband had walked off in embarrassment!

The rest of the trip was a doddle. I leisurely wandered the duty free shops, treated myself to a hot chocolate, and gazed out of the window at the rise and fall of the horizon - a definite no-no previously. The return trip found me lounging in the bar with a G&T in hand, and singing like a drunken sailor.

And as a pleasant side effect, my car sickness has also disappeared!

Hope my experience is of some help.

"Firstly let me say how delighted I am with your e-book. It's everything and more than you promised. I would say that after Gary Craig's manual, this is the definitive book on tapping."
