"The Thumbtack Story, Eft And Minor Injuries"
Hi, Everyone,
This story is from Susan Ovitt of Burlington, VT, a participant in one of my groups. It's about how she avoided bruising and pain by using EFT immediately after a minor injury. I had never remembered to do that before but, thanks to Susan's story, when I banged the top of my foot getting into my car last night, I started tapping within seconds. The pain went away really quickly and, though the skin is scraped, there's no bruise or soreness today. So rather than cursing when these small injuries happen, we should try tapping! The immediate application of EFT really seems to make a difference.
Love, Betty
I know this is a rather simple thing. Tapping I find helps me emotionally but not usually physically.
Recently (last week) I was working on a project and stabbed myself with a thumb tack in my finger. It was pretty deep and bled right away.
I thought about how I didn't want the pain and bleeding and if I could only make it go away.
Well, I decided to start tapping, I had nothing else to lose. I tapped on the karate chop that even though this is bleeding and hurts and it's probably going to bruise and be sore to touch, I totally and completely love and accept myself.
Well, I did that twice through, all of the spots, once on the left and once on the right.
The bleeding stopped immediately and it never hurt. I could touch it right away and nothing. It felt fine.
I have tried it a bit since then and it hasn't worked as well. I think the important thing was to do it immediately after I got hurt.
I added the part about totally loving myself because I think that I need to work on that and that has really started helping me out.
Just thought I'd let you know.
Talk to you soon.
Love
Susan
